    Boise VA Medical Center, Boise - is seeking 1 primary care physician to add to their expanding Telehealth Program. The Boise VA serves patients in locations throughout Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska via telehealth.     Rainbow’s End Recovery Center is seeking a Medical Director.  The center is a small substance abuse treatment facility in Challis, Idaho.   Challis is a town of 1,000 residents located in Custer County in Central Idaho.  Challis possesses a wealth of history.  This is the Land of the Yankee Fork Park, North Custer Museum, ghost towns of Custer, Bonanza, Bayhorse and the behemoth gold dredge on the Yankee Fork. Imagine life in a historic mining camp. Do you want to get off the beaten track? If so, trace the trail where wagons carried food and necessary supplies from Challis to the Yankee Fork Mining District by driving the scenic Custer Motorway. Explore Challis by starting a downtown walking tour at the North Custer Museum.

    The clinic is licensed by DHW and accredited by the Joint Commission.  Our maximum client population is 13; we average 8.  The responsibilities of the medical director include: being able to see clients one day a week with the ability to perform history and physicals and order any testing required. The physician will collaborate with other staff on the diagnosis and treatment of the clients. We also need a physician with the ability to prescribe Suboxone. We need to be able to have liberal phone access.     REXBURG

    Grand Peaks Medical, Rexburg - We are in search of a family physician who also provides obstetrics to join us. We are located in Southeast Idaho near Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Wyoming in the city of Rexburg, population 30,000. We are a community health center but also partially privately funded. We have 2 physician assistants in addition to one family physician. We provide full scope family medicine and obstetrics. We have 2 offices that are 15 minutes apart. Each office provides care for about 30 patients a day 5 days a week and ½ day on Saturday. Our Medical Director personally sees 15-25 patients a day 4 days a week. Approximately 1/3 of those are OB patients. We currently deliver approximately 6-10 babies a month.  We are interested in another FP/OB with or without cesarean section experience to join us.  Rexburg is a wonderful place to live because of the abundant recreation opportunities including skiing, snowmobiling, boating, hiking, camping, hunting/ fishing, and exploring. Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming are both just an hour away. Idaho is also a unique and desirable place to practice medicine. Compensation is much higher than the national average and law suits are much lower than elsewhere. The diversity in your ability to practice is also greatly varied and provides the opportunity to provide many services directly for your patients.  This is a wonderful university town (BYU-Idaho) with very grateful and appreciative patients. Approximately 1/3 of our patients are Hispanic. Spanish speaking is appreciated but not required as most patients are bilingual and we have interpreters. Contracts are individually negotiated but starting annual salary would be anticipated to be 200-220K depending on experience, plus additional benefits including loan repayment opportunities.  We actively provide rotations for medical students and residents alike.
