Kootenai Health Family Medicine Residency is seeking a family medicine physician who is passionate about teaching to join our vibrant group as core faculty. Summary

The core faculty are responsible for assisting the Program Director with the development, maintenance and ongoing supervision of the Kootenai Health Family Medicine Residency program in accordance with ACGME guidelines.

• Teaching, mentoring, advising and supervising residents and medical students
• Provide comprehensive primary care for a personal panel of patients in a primary care clinic
• Provide comprehensive medical services in hospital care, working independently and interdependently with other hospital specialists and sub-specialist.
• Participate in and coordinate regularly scheduled didactics
• Act as curriculum lead as advised by the Program Director
• Be a role model in professionalism, self–care, team-based community health care, lifelong learning, and full scope outpatient family medicine practice
• Serve on relevant residency program and hospital committees
• Participates in evaluation of all learners
• Complete quality/practice improvement projects annually (with and without residents)
• Participate in scholarly activity and quality initiative
• Develop and present faculty development lectures
• Other duties as necessary to meet ACGME requirements

Qualified Candidates:

• Current or eligible for licensure in the State of Idaho
• Board certified or eligible for board certification
• Completed an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency and
• Demonstrated experience and competency in teaching and patient care
• Full time position with hospital call required
• Post-graduate experience teaching residents is desirable but not required. Candidates should be flexible, and have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Obstetric practice is not required

Cascade Medical Center – Seeking  Family Physician
We are looking are looking for a physician interested in practicing a broad scope of clinic and hospital based medicine.  Cascade Medical Center is a Rural Health Clinic and Critical Access Hospital, operating out of single building in a beautiful mountain setting.  Our facility sits a block from Cascade Lake in beautiful Valley County, Idaho less than 2 hours from Boise.  We are located in an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise with year-round recreational activities right outside out door.  As a provider here, you will see patient in the clinic, treat people in the ER and care for them in the hospital.  Our Rural Health Clinic is open 5 days per week and we see patients on both a scheduled and walk-in basis.  Clinic is open 8:30am to 5:30pm M – S and 1-5 Sunday.  Each provider sees between 8 and 15 patients per day in the clinic.  We do full-scope primary care – preventative care, well and sick; pediatrics to geriatrics; and acute to chronic.  The hospital treats an average of 4 patients per 24 hour period in the ER and we have an average inpatient census of 1.

We do not do OB or surgery. We have a full lab, CT, X-ray and ultrasound. Our LCSW provides counseling and social work services in an integrated behavioral health model.  We have physical therapy on site as well.

• Hours: Typical Schedule; 3 clinic days and 1-2 nights ER call per week.

Rainbow’s End Recovery Center – is seeking a Medical Director.  The center is a small substance abuse treatment facility in Challis, Idaho.  Challis is a town of 1,000 residents located in Custer County in Central Idaho.  Challis possesses a wealth of history.  This is the Land of the Yankee Fork Park, North Custer Museum, ghost towns of Custer, Bonanza, Bayhorse and the behemoth gold dredge on the Yankee Fork. Imagine life in a historic mining camp. Do you want to get off the beaten track?
